CHEERLEADING Fundamentals
Prerequisite: None Ratio: 8 to 1 Ages: 5-9 years Length: 1 hour/wk Cost: $72/month
This beginning cheerleading class will introduce students to the foundational cheerleading motions, skills, and technique. They will also be introduced to new cheers, chants, dances and basic stunting.
CHEERLEADING Intermediate
Ages: 7-12 Length: 1 1/2 hours/wk Cost: $88/month
Cheerleaders entering this class should be capable of performing all basic cheer motions without assistance and be knowledgable on cheer terminology and cheerleading jumps. They should also have a moderate amount of experience with cheers, chants, stunting and tumbling. At this level, cheerleaders will begin learning intermediate level cheers and stunting, as well as begin more complex pyramids and more advanced tumbling skills, including front and backhandsprings. pre-requisite – backbend kickover unassisted, handstand 1/2 pirouette, round-off w/repulsion off 2 hands
CHEERLEADING Advanced
Prerequisite: Coach Approval & Recommendation Ages: 7-14 Length: 1 1/2 hours/wk Cost: $88/month
To qualify as a member of this class, cheerleaders must have an in-depth knowledge of cheerleading skills and technique and have adequate jumps, strength and tumbling skills for the class. (determined by the instructor)They will also be participating in more advanced tumbling and stunting, including round-off, front handsprings, backhandsprings, back tucks and layouts. Cheerleaders will be invited to perform occasionally throughout the year.
